Luxembourg, 26 April 2016: Deutsche Oel & Gas S.A. began producing natural gas in its Kitchen Lights Unit production region in the Cook Inlet in Southern Alaska at the end of November 2015.
Since then, the mark of one billion cubic feet of natural gas has been passed.
While around half of the volume of gas produced from well KLU#3 is kept in reserve to supply major customers and to offset delivery peaks, the remainder is supplied to prominent customers, such as ConocoPhillips and ENSTAR. Deutsche Oel & Gas is the only company to have an approved drilling schedule for exploratory drilling in the Cook lnlet in 2016, and plans to at least double the volume of gas produced this year.
“Our production is going according to plan: one billion cubic feet of high-quality natural gas has already been produced. The contracts entered into with prestigious customers guarantee that our gas will be purchased for the next few years, which gives us long-term planning certainty. We have therefore already established ourselves as a reliable natural gas producer and supplier, and so can consistently drive forward our growth,” said Kay Rieck, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deutsche Oel & Gas S.A..
