Deutsche Oel & Gas S.A. welcomes Bruce Webb and Rainer Klee to the board of directors, with the corresponding resolutions having been passed with a clear majority at the annual shareholders' meeting on 17 December 2018 in Luxembourg.
According to information sources to date, the 7.0 magnitude earthquake some 11 kilometres north of Anchorage and some 80 kilometres from the Kitchen Lights Unit has not resulted in any personal injury or property damage.
The completion and commissioning of the 2016 borehole KLU#3c, in accordance with the exploration plan for 2018, has now been concluded. Natural gas production from this borehole has begun; the currently daily production rate of the KLU#3c is around 8 million cubic feet.

Mr Rieck, how were things for the Deutsche Oel & Gas Group back at the start of the year? Kay Rieck: We started off the year with an optimistic outlook and so far, 2018 has not disappointed. In January, to enable us to do everything we had set out to do and to achieve our ambitious exploration objectives, we recruited a number of new team members for our Alaska site. This included getting experienced geophysicist and oil industry expert Scott Pinsonnault on board as our new Chief Operating Officer.
The 2018 drilling season has started for Deutsche Oel & Gas Group. After securing additional financing from US investor Energy Capital Partners, the Group aims to fully implement its exploration plan for 2018 over the coming months.
After the draft "House Bill 331" was passed in Alaska in May on the payment of outstanding and still expected tax credits for all natural gas and oil exploration companies, Governor Bill Walker signed the new law last week.
A recent study by the Petrotechnical Resources of Alaska Consulting Company shows that the demand for gas in the Cook Inlet is expected to increase until 2021, surpassing current local production capacity. If no additional wells are drilled, it may be the case that as soon as next year not enough gas will be getting produced to meet the region’s needs. The majority of gas producers in the Cook Inlet, however, have not yet planned a sufficient expansion of their activities.
On 11th of May 2018, Alaska’s Senate passed the House Bill 331 in final round of legislative process; this bill enables the payment of outstanding tax credits and the credits that are anticipated in the future to be made, which all natural gas and oil production companies operating in Alaska are entitled to.
