Target depth of first well reached - Gas and high-quality oil found.
Several days ago the crew of the Spartan 151 drilling platform reached the planned target depth of the KLU#1 well, finding not only natural gas in the upper formations, but also high-quality crude oil in the underlying formations.
Initial analyses show that the oil is light sweet crude, which is particularly low in sulphur and therefore a high-quality oil that attracts a significantly higher price than conventional crude.
The analyses conducted over the past few days confirm the results of the first partial well drilled last year and hence the presence of large natural gas reservoirs in several production formations.
