Energy for Alaska

A few days ago Deutsche Oel und Gas began drilling the second well, KLU#2, in the Kitchen Lights Unit of the Cook Inlet in Alaska, as planned.

The Spartan 151 drilling platform was towed to the new exploration site from the first well, KLU#1, at the beginning of August. The crew from the U.S. subsidiary, Furie Operating Alaska, has al-ready drilled down to a depth of around 2,000 feet (about 610 metres).

All data to date indicates that this second well is also certain to meet, if not exceed, expectations, as with the first exploration.
